Plant:              A herb up to 30cm high with hairs on its branches.

Flowers:         White to mauve, 5 petalled, irregular, tubular flowers 1-1.5cm long with purple markings on the lower petal and lobes 5-8mm long. The inflorescence is a terminal raceme.

Flowering:      December-January.

Fruit:               Club-shaped capsule 1-1.5cm long.

Leaves:          Opposite, lanceolate to ovate 2-7cm long and up to 3cm wide, glossy dark green above and sometimes purple on underside.

Habitat:           In moist, shady locations in rainforest and both wet- and dry-sclerophyll forest

Features:       White to mauve tubular flowers. Opposite dark green leaves sometimes purple on the underside.
