Plant:              A mat-forming herb with creeping stems up to 1cm high.

Flowers:         Greenish-yellow to white, 5-lobed bell shaped, 5mm diameter and solitary.

Flowering:      September-December.

Fruit:               A 2-lobed capsule

Leaves:          Kidney-shaped to oblong-circular, up to 2.5cm across with entire margins. The leaves have fine hairs on both sides and are borne on stalks up to 5cm long.

Habitat:           Mainly in shady locations in both wet- and dry-sclerophyll forest

Features:       Kidney-shaped leaves. A mat-forming plant.

Dichondra      From Greek = 2-grained (referring to its fruit)

repens            From Latin = creeping (referring to its growth habit)
