Dusky Coral Pea

Plant:              A scrambling vigorous climber with stems to 4m long.

Flowers:         Dark red pea flower with dark markings, 3-4cm long and in axillary racemes.

Flowering:      July-November.

Fruit:               Compressed flat pod 5-10cm long covered with rusty brown hairs.

Leaves:          Trifoliolate leaves with ovate to lanceolate leaflets 3-12cm long and 2-8cm wide, hairless or with rusty coloured hairs on both sides.

Habitat:           Widespread in dry sclerophyll forest and heathland.

Features:       Large dark red pea flowers on a vine. Trifoliate leaves.
