Plant:              A shrub up to 1m high often with red, pimply stems.

Flowers:         Yellow pea flower with red markings and crowded in leafy clusters at the ends of the stems.

Flowering:      August-October.

Fruit:               Hairy pod 5mm long.

Leaves:          Linear, up to 1.5cm long and 1-2mm wide, dark green, crowded and with recurved margins.

Habitat:           Heathland and dry sclerophyll forest.

Features:       Yellow and red pea flowers crowded at ends of branches. Hairy pod. Red pimply stems.

Name:

Phyllota          From Greek = leaf-ear (referring to its leaf-like bracteoles).
