Plant:              A small bushy shrub up to 1m high.

Flowers:         5-petalled, irregular bright yellow flowers up to 2cm long borne singly or in erect axillary racemes.

Flowering:      Mainly October-March.

Fruit:          A purple to blackish ovoid capsule about 1cm long.

Leaves:          Broad, thin, glossy dark green, hairless, aromatic, alternate, ovate to elliptic, up to 8cm long and with slightly toothed edges.

Habitat:           Rainforest margins and wet sclerophyll forest.

Features:       Stalked bright yellow flowers in short racemes.  Soft green aromatic foliage.
