Family:            Euphorbiaceae

Plant:              A tall shrub or medium-height tree up to 8m high.

Flowers:         Tiny yellowish 2-3mm long in leaf axils.

Flowering:      October.

Fruit:               Capsule 1-2cm diameter, flattened, ridged and green turning pink to red when mature. The capsule splits to reveal red seeds.

Leaves:          Alternate, elliptic, 3-10cm long and 1.5-4cm wide. The old growth is marked reddish brown.

Habitat:           Sheltered areas in wet sclerophyll forest and rainforest.

Features:       Pumpkin-shaped segmented fruit. Old leaves reddish-brown. Alternate leaves.
