Plant:              A slender erect shrub up to 1.5m high with reddish stems.

Flowers:         Rich pink to purple consisting of 2 spreading petal-like sepals, 2 tiny petals and yellow stamens. The flowers are borne in racemes at the top of stems.

Flowering:      September-December.

Fruit:               An ovoid capsule 7-8mm long with a narrow wing.

Leaves:          Alternate, oblong to linear, 5-25mm long and 1-4mm wide with recurved margins.

Habitat:           Heathland and dry sclerophyll forest

Features:       Rich pink to purple 2-winged flowers at top of stems.
