Plant: A slender erect shrub up to 1m high.
Flowers: Small cream to white tubular, irregularly lobed, 3mm diameter and 6-8mm long in terminal panicles.
Flowering: August-November.
Fruit: A tiny nut 2-3mm long with a fringe of silky hairs.
Leaves: Alternate, flat, elliptic to obovate, erect, crowded, 5-25mm long and 3-8mm wide.
Habitat: Sandy soils in damp coastal heathland.
Features: Tiny cream to white tubular flowers in terminal clusters. Elliptic leaves.
