Plant: A small tree up to 8m high.
Flower: Small, pale yellowish-green flowers 5mm diameter with 4 petals borne in axillary panicles.
Flowering: August-November.
Fruit: Globular to ellipsoid fleshy orange-red drupe 1-2cm long and 1-1.5cm diameter.
Leaves: Broad, opposite, glossy, elliptic, ovate or obovate, 4-10cm long and 2-5cm wide. The leaves are smooth, mid-green above but paler below with slightly toothed margins and a blunt tip.
Habitat: Coastal rainforests and rainforest margins.
Features: Orange fruits and glossy opposite elliptic leaves with toothed margins.
