Plant:              A woody shrub up to 2m high with smooth, firm bark and silky young stems.

Flowers:         Solitary sessile flowers 1-2cm diameter with 5 white to pink round spreading petals and numerous stamens surrounding a central green disc.

Flowering:      January-April.

Fruit:               Woody, capsule about 1cm diameter with 5 seed chambers.

Leaves:          Crowded, rigid, concave, lanceolate to ovate, sharply pointed, 5-15mm long and 2-5mm wide. The leaves are often purplish.

Habitat:           Common in dry sclerophyll forest and heathland.

Features:       Sharp concave leaves. White-pink flowers with many stamens around a central disc. 1cm diameter capsules.
